Refund and Returns Policy

Refunds & Returns

Last updated: 2026

Every Outside Campers cap is built to order and fitted to your truck in person at pickup. Because of that, this isn't a product that gets returned to a shelf — so our policy is built around making it right, not sending it back.

We build it right, and we stand behind it

If something is wrong with your cap, we fix it. That's the first and best answer for almost every situation. Most issues come down to an adjustment, a part, or a fitment tweak, and we'd much rather sort that out with you than have you stuck with a cap that isn't working the way it should. Reach out and we'll take care of it.

Deposits

Your deposit holds your place in the build queue and covers work that starts once you reserve. If you need to cancel before your build begins, contact us as soon as possible and we'll work with you. Once your build is underway, materials and labor are committed, so deposits at that stage generally aren't refundable. [Tyler: confirm the exact cutoff and any partial-refund terms.]

Returns

We don't accept returns in the usual sense. The cap is custom-fit and installed on your truck at pickup, so once it's on your vehicle and you've driven off, it's yours. This is standard for made-to-order, installed products.

Refunds

Refunds are reserved for genuine problems we can't resolve. If there's a significant defect in materials or construction that we're unable to repair or replace, contact us and we'll make it right — and if a repair or replacement isn't possible, we'll discuss a refund at that point. Normal wear, damage from use or an accident, modifications you make after pickup, or a change of mind aren't grounds for a refund.

How to reach us

If something's wrong, email tyler@outside-campers.com with your order number and a description (photos help a lot). We'll get back to you and figure out the fix.

Your rights

Nothing here takes away any rights you have under Massachusetts or federal consumer-protection law.
